Meet the Men At Work Band

Meet the Men At Work Band

by Colin Hay, September 11, 2025

Meet the talented players behind Men At Work’s summer tour with Toto and Christopher Cross! Every week we’ll introduce a band member and chat about their experience on the road.

Rachel Mazer (@mazerlioness)

Meet Rachel Mazer, a gifted singer and multi-instrumentalist, she joined the band on saxophone, flute, and keys for this past summer’s tour

Here’s what she shared about her experience on the road:

“This summer I went on tour with Men At Work for the very first time, and it was truly one of the most magical, whimsical, and healing experiences of my life. I fell in love with this band, the music, and the incredible fans who came out night after night. Playing Greg Ham’s legendary flute and sax parts felt like both an honor and a responsibility — one I carry with joy, gratitude, and the same humor and light hearted-ness Colin always recalls in Greg.

Thank you, Colin, for bringing me on board ❤️ Deepest love to Colin, Cecilia, Jimmy, Yosmel, San Miguel, Kris, our amazing crew, and the wonderful teams from Toto and Christopher Cross. Together we built a bond that feels completely singular. And to the fans: thank you for welcoming me with such open arms. I’m forever grateful ❤️”

Jimmy Branly (@jimmybranly)

Meet Jimmy Branly —the rhythmic force driving Men At Work’s live sound ⚠️

Hailing from Havana, Cuba, Jimmy has been Colin’s drummer for the past eight years, bringing powerhouse rhythms and flare to every live show.

Here’s what he had to say about his experience on this recent summer tour:

“This 2025 summer tour with Men At Work has been absolutely incredible. Feeling the energy that Colin Hay brings to every show is truly inspiring. It’s amazing how his passion and presence only grow stronger with time. Watching him lead with such grace and dedication pushes me to reach for the very best version of myself.

The love we share on the bus and in our musical life feels more like a family than a band. The care, support, and mutual respect between us, not only the band but the crew members as well is something rare—and it’s only deepened over time. Musicianship across the board has evolved, and so has our commitment to the music and to one another. Colin makes everything flow so naturally. He listens, observes, and directs in the most thoughtful and encouraging way a musical leader can.

I know there’s more ahead for us, and I’m truly excited for what’s to come. This past tour has been sensational—not just because of the performances, but because of all the little shared moments: the stage, the catering room, the playground, the in-between.

We lived the full road life—with respect, love, and appreciation for one another’s craft. This is what touring should feel like.”

Yosmel Montejo (@yosmelbass)

Meet Yosmel Montejo — the low-end master of Men At Work’s live performances!

Originally from Camagüey, Cuba, Yosmel has been holding down the low end with Colin’s live shows for nearly a decade, delivering that unmistakable groove at every performance.

Here’s what he shared about his experience on the recent summer tour:

“2025 has brought me so many surprises, and this summer tour has been the cherry on top—definitely a highlight of my career. I never thought I’d be playing and sharing experiences with rock stars and music figures who revolutionized world music like Toto and Christopher Cross.

The funny thing is, I usually don’t even stop to think about it because it feels like family. Men At Work is so much more than playing hits. Now that I’m a father, I see more than ever the value of a father (Colin), mother (Cecilia), brothers (San Miguel, Jimmy Branly), and sister (Rachel)—and what it means to take care of each other at all times. We have fun, we cry, and we laugh harder and harder. But this family wouldn’t be complete without the rest of the crew: Uncle Kris and the cousins Evan, Zach, Aaron, Megan, and Charlie. Our bond and chemistry are amazing.

Who knew that a guajiro from Camagüey would one day be playing next to one of the most incredible voices of the ’80s? This tour is a clear sign that we still have many more stages to play.

I’m living my dream… thank y’all.”

Cecilia Noël (@wildclam)

Meet Cecilia Noel — The Queen of Salsoul!

Born in Lima, Peru, Cecilia has been a powerhouse on stage since her youth. From fronting her 1990s band The Wild Clams to her solo career, she’s carved out a space with her signature salsoul sound. For over 20 years, she’s also been performing alongside her husband Colin, both in the studio and on stage, adding her vibrant energy to every show

Here’s what she shared about her experience on this past summer’s tour:

“I am so grateful for this experience, sharing the stage with such talented world class musicians. I felt I could bring something different with my SalSoul style, my energy, and the strength of my Incan ancestral spirits that I am proud to represent. To feel so welcomed and appreciated by everyone we toured with—and by the amazing audiences—was truly a gift. Every night was unforgettable, especially closing the shows with TOTO’s “Africa”. It was magical and emotional, and anthem to love and unity.

PS: I love you Christopher Cross, his “French Lovers Band” ❤️, Luke and the TOTO boys! ❤️”

San Miguel Pérez (@sanmiguelperez)

Meet San Miguel Pérez —this week’s Men At Work Member of the Week! ⚠️

Born and raised in Granma, Cuba, San Miguel is an award-winning tres and guitar player, celebrated for his masterful skill and dynamic stage presence. For nearly a decade, he’s been touring with Colin and Men At Work, bringing a unique Cuban flair to every performance.

Here’s what he shared about his experience on the recent summer tour:

“I feel honored to perform with Men at Work and share incredible moments with such an iconic rock band!

This past summer was incredible – over 31 shows, sharing the stage with the legendary Toto and Christopher Cross!

Performing alongside Colin, Cecilia, Jimmy Yosmel and Rachel has been nothing short of magical. Every show is a special, musical journey that brings me closer to the love from the fans who share the moment with us through each song.

I’m happy to be a part of this family. On tour, there’s so much respect, love and laughter between us. Some nights we jam together on the bus, and Colin often surprises us with his cooking. His veggie sautés and late night grilled ham and cheese sandwiches have become my favorites.

We are also blessed to have an incredible crew working tirelessly behind the scenes to make every show possible. None of this magic would happen without them!”
